Dr. Malalai Mojaddidi
Dr. Malalai Mojaddidi graduated from the University of California at Davis and received her Bachelors of Science degree with honors. She then pursued research in vision science at UC Berkeley's Department of Optometry where she co-authored several papers. While at UC Berkeley, her passion for Optometry grew and she knew she had found her calling. Soon after she attended the Illinois College of Optometry and went on to receive her Doctorate in optometry.
After completing her doctorate, Dr. Mojaddidi went on to complete several externships which emphasized comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye care, and extensive ocular pathology. For nearly 20 years, Dr. Mojaddidi has been in practice with Sutter Medical Group's Department of Ophthalmology in the cities of Vacaville and Fairfield, California. |
While at Sutter, she focused her practice on treating a wide variety of ocular disease with special focus on the treatment and management of dry eyes. She gained extensive experience with LASIK, cataract macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma co-management.
For her outstanding service in the field, Dr. Mojaddidi was awarded the Clinician of the Year Award in 2004 at Sutter Medical Group.
Although Dr. Mojaddidi thoroughly enjoyed her work at Sutter Medical Group, she recently decided to make the bold move to private practice. With the extensive experience she has amassed over her long career, she is a welcome and vibrant change to her newly acquired practice, Family Eye Associates Optometric Group, Inc.
Dr. Mojaddidi will continue to thrive as a provider in private practice just as she did in her previous positions. Her dedicated team and talented staff will continue to expand their breadth of knowledge, skills, and resources in the field of optometry to ensure that every single patient receives the highest quality full-scope optometric care and medical eye exams. Her office provides comprehensive visual examinations and a full range of vision care services including: contact lenses, specialty lenses and designer frames, laser vision correction co-management and treatment of ocular surface disease, including dry eye & allergies.
Dr. Mojaddidi previously served as a National Board Examiner for over a decade and she is currently an active member of the California Optometric Association, the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Mojaddidi enjoys spending time with her loving husband and three wonderful children.
